Product introduction
Rebar is a common name for hot-rolled ribbed steel bars. The grade of common hot-rolled steel bar consists of HRB and the minimum yield point of the grade. H, R and B are the first letters of the words Hotrolled, Ribbed and Bars respectively.
Classification method of rebar There are two common classification methods for rebar: one is to classify rebar according to its geometric shape, and classify or classify rebar according to the cross-sectional shape of transverse ribs and the spacing between ribs. For example, rebar is classified into type I and type II in British Standard (BS4449). This classification mainly reflects the gripping performance of rebar. The second is to classify (grade) by performance.

For example, in China's current implementation standard, rebar is (G B1499.2-2007) and wire is 1499.1-2008), and rebar is divided into three grades according to strength grade (yield point/tensile strength); According to Japanese industrial standard (JI SG3112), rebar can be divided into five categories according to its comprehensiveness. British Standard (BS4461) also stipulates several grades of rebar performance test.

In addition, rebar can be classified according to its use, such as ordinary rebar for reinforced concrete and heat-treated rebar for prestressed reinforced concrete.
Application of rebar Rebar is made of billet, which is mainly used in real estate, infrastructure and other public facilities, while hot coil is made of slab, which is mainly used in automobile, shipbuilding and other manufacturing industries. The downstream demand of automobile production and sales is an important index that affects the marginal change of hot coil demand.
Mechanical properties of rebar (1) Performance index: The inspection items for evaluating the mechanical properties of rebar include tensile test (tensile strength, yield strength and elongation) and bending test (primary bending and reverse bending). See Table 6-7-7 for specific indicators.

(2) Inspection method: Tensile test method: Common standard inspection methods include GB/T228.1-2010, JISZ2201, JI SZ2241, ASTMA370, гост 1497, BS18, etc. Bending test method: The commonly used standard test methods are GB/T232-88, YB/T5126-2003, JISZ2248, ASTME290, гост 14019, etc.

3) Bending performance

After the bending center diameter specified in the following table is bent 180 degrees, the surface of the bent part of the steel bar shall not be cracked.

4) Reverse bending performance

According to the requirements of the buyer, the steel bar can be tested for reverse bending performance.

The bending center diameter of the reverse bending test is correspondingly increased by one rebar diameter compared with that of the bending test. Bend 90 degrees in the forward direction first, and then bend 20 degrees in the reverse direction. After the reverse bending test, the surface of the bending part of the steel bar shall not be cracked.
