Product Description

LY225 steel (/%: 0.07C, 0.05Si, 0.50Mn, 0.007P, 0.008S, 0.0050N) for the test was melted in a 500kg vacuum induction furnace, cast into 210mm billets, and hot rolled into 25mm and 40mm plates, with a final rolling temperature of 790 to 830 ºC and water cooled. After normalizing at 880~900 ºC, the microstructure of LY225 steel plate is polygonal ferrite, with a grain size of 7.5~8.5, a yield strength of 225~234MPa, and an impact strength of 285~294J at 0 ºC. It has good high strain low cycle fatigue performance and welding performance, meeting the requirements of GB/T28905-2016 for the mechanical properties of LY225 grade low yield point steel for building earthquake resistance.
